The permit costs USD 500 for 10 days and USD 50 per day for extensions. Visitors can choose from a range of accommodation options, including lodges, guesthouses, and camping sites.

The best time to visit Mustang is from September to November or March to May, when the weather is pleasant and the scenery is at its best. Visitors who are interested in attending the Tiji festival should plan their trip between April and May.
